3. Intake and Assessment
FJC staff will have a conversation with you to understand your needs, explain the process of partner services, and you choose which partners you want to engage with.

4. Rest and Service Navigation
You get a break while FJC staff coordinates your services.

5. Partner Services
Partner agencies you choose will deliver their services to you.

6. Survey and Exit
Client survey and follow up steps are identified.

Participation in Family Justice Center services is completely voluntary. You have the right to accept or decline any service offered and may stop

Participation in Family Justice Center services is completely voluntary. You have the right to accept or decline any service offered and may stop services at any time.

2. Respect and Dignity
To be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect regardless of your circumstances or background.

3. Equal Access to Services
To receive services without discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, immigration status, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

4. Privacy and Confidentiality
To have your personal information handled with care and confidentiality in accordance with applicable laws and professional standards.

5. Safety and Support
To receive services in a trauma-informed, survivor-centered environment focused on safety, empowerment, and support.

6. Clear Information
To receive information about available services so you can make informed decisions about your options.

7. Accessibility
To request reasonable accommodations if you have a disability. The Family Justice Center strives to ensure equal access for all individuals.

8. Language Access
To receive language assistance services, including interpretation, free of charge.

9. The Right to Ask Questions or Share Concerns
To ask questions about services and to share feedback or concerns without fear that doing so will affect your ability to receive assistance.

As a recipient of funding administered by the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (CalOES), we do not discriminate in the delivery of services on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age.

If you believe you have experienced discrimination or unequal treatment in accessing services, you may file a complaint with Family Justice Center Program Manager, Nevada County District Attorney’s Office, or with the appropriate state or federal civil rights agency. Filing a complaint will not affect your ability to receive services.
